I was looking to buy something on eBay and I got my first rookie lesson the hard way.
There was about 40 minutes left on the bidding so I took my sweet time and researched authenticity and how to spot fakes and read the seller’s review. A few minutes left I made a bid. Just slightly higher than the winning bid. I’m good, I thought. A little while later, I practically hit refresh every second.
Two seconds before it ended, someone outbid me by two dollars. TWO DOLLARS! Darn that last-second bidder! Darn him! Darn him! Darn him!
Oh well, I really didn’t want a new purse. I just hate the idea of losing.
